First off, let me be clear that what you do with this is your own business. Knowlege is power, and like any power, the knowledge of how to pick locks and hack into WEP wireless networks can be used for good, or for evil.
Muhahaha!
Ahem.
Picking Locks
With that said, here is how to make something called a “Bump Key”, which is a specially modified (as in, you filed it down a little) key that lets you break into any lock that it fits into. Nifty huh?

Remember, it’s not stealing if you leave a note.
Hacking Networks
Now, on to breaking into wireless networks. Unfortunately, for this technique, you have to be running Linux. But hey, you should be running Linux anyway. Viva la revolucion.

A philisophical question: is stealing bandwidth really stealing?
Don’t Get Caught
Seriously, don’t. The cops take a dim view of people trying to pick locks, and in fact:
in some areas, bump keys count as burglary tools, and possession of one can be a misdemeanor offense.

So be careful. I tend to think of things like this as a worst-case-zombie-invasion-scenario thing, only useful in really bad situations, but then really, really useful. Just don’t be stupid and try to break into your neighbor’s house for fun.
